Tree Planting Campaign
Research shows that a mature acre of trees can yearly provide oxygen for 18 people. Trees reduce urban runoff and erosion by storing water and breaking the force of rain as it falls. This reduces the risk of over-saturation and flooding. Trees also absorb sound and reduce noise pollution.
GCCI Tree Planting Campaign is aimed at creating awareness about the importance of tree planting. This campaign is targeted at the younger generation who are taking over the fight to save our planet.
Renewable Energy
Energy from natural sources whose source of replenishment is higher than its rate of usage or consumption. Energy from the Sun, Wind and Water current are the most popular forms of renewable energy.
At GCCI we are passionate about renewable energy. We provide trainings, workshops and sponsorship to individuals and organizations on renewable energy. We also partner with manufacturers to develop renewable energy gadgets and devices.
Recycling
Plastic waste is a major constituent of environmental pollution and degradation. This is based on the fact that plastic take a very long time to decompose naturally (about 20 to 500 years) depending on the material structure and environmental factors.
GCCI is a major advocate for recycling of plastic and other waste products which can be harmful to our environment.
